The drive from DXB to Al Barsha

The usual route is Sheikh Zayed Road or Al Khail Road southwest, leaving at the Mall of the Emirates interchange or one of the Al Barsha exits further along. Late in the evening the drive takes about twenty-five minutes; a weekday rush can make it forty-five. The Sheikh Zayed Road route passes Salik gates, charged at cost.

Al Barsha 1, the hotel strip and the villas

Al Barsha 1, behind Mall of the Emirates, has the densest cluster of hotels and apartments, many on parallel streets that look much alike. Al Barsha 2 and 3 and Al Barsha South are mostly villas and low-rise buildings. Pick your exact hotel or building in the address search; for a villa, a pin on the gate is the surest way.

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates and Sheraton Mall of the Emirates are attached to the mall itself, with their own entrances, and the chauffeur goes to the hotel door rather than the mall's.

Back to the airport

Al Barsha is well placed for both directions: the motorways are a few minutes away. Mall of the Emirates traffic builds in the evening and at weekends, so on those days add a little time to leave the area.

A practical base between the old city and the Marina

Al Barsha sits roughly halfway along Sheikh Zayed Road, with the Mall of the Emirates metro station on the Red Line and a wide choice of mid-size hotels and serviced apartments. That makes it a sensible base if your week mixes meetings in DIFC with evenings in the Marina, and the drive back to the airport is predictable outside the rush hours.

Help

DXB to Al Barsha: your questions

How long does the transfer take from DXB to Al Barsha?
About 30 kilometres, usually 25 to 45 minutes depending on traffic and the time you land.
Is Al Barsha the same as Barsha Heights?
Not quite. Barsha Heights, once called Tecom, is the tower district beside Al Barsha along Sheikh Zayed Road, with its own exits and one-way streets. Choose the exact address and the chauffeur takes the right exit.
Can I be dropped at Ski Dubai?
Yes. Choose the Mall of the Emirates entrance nearest Ski Dubai in the address search, or your hotel if you want to drop your luggage first.
Is a pre-booked transfer worth it for Al Barsha?
It saves the taxi queue and fixes the fare before you land, which counts most with luggage, children or a late flight.
Is there a quicker way than Sheikh Zayed Road?
Al Khail Road runs parallel inland and is often clearer in the rush. Your chauffeur chooses between the two according to the traffic, and the Al Khail route can avoid some Salik gates.
Where will my driver meet me at Dubai International Airport?
Without Meet & Greet: the parking the airport designates for pre-booked cars, marked across the airport; it can move, so follow the markings. With Meet & Greet: inside the arrivals hall, with a name board.
