Sharjah International Airport to Business Bay
Business Bay, the towers along the Dubai Water Canal beside Downtown, is about forty kilometres from Sharjah International by road; how long the drive takes depends mostly on the hour you land.

Down the inland motorway
The usual route is south on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311), then across to Al Khail Road, which forms one side of Business Bay, and it has no Salik. When that way is congested, the chauffeur can take Al Ittihad Road and cross the creek instead, passing the Al Mamzar gates and a bridge gate. Any toll is passed through at cost.
In the small hours the drive is around thirty-five minutes. In the weekday morning rush, when Sharjah's commuters are heading into Dubai and the district's own offices are filling up, allow more than an hour, as the short streets inside Business Bay are busy too.

Finding the right tower
Business Bay is dense: more than a hundred towers, many on short one-way streets, and several with names that are almost the same. It also spans both banks of the canal, and two buildings facing each other across the water can be several minutes apart by road. Pick the building in the address search, or drop a pin on the lobby you use.
Hotels in the district include JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, The Oberoi Dubai and Taj Dubai, near Bay Avenue and the canal promenade. If you are going straight to an office, put the company name in the booking notes and the chauffeur will look for the commercial entrance.

Landing for meetings
Your chauffeur tracks the flight, and the free waiting time starts from the real landing time, so a late arrival does not eat into it. If the day is a run of meetings across Dubai, book the transfer to your first stop and hourly hire after it, so one car and chauffeur stay with you for the rest of the day. A company with a drivoo business account can also book the transfer for a visiting guest.
Leaving for SHJ
Heading back to Sharjah, the evening is the hardest time: the district empties and the roads towards Sharjah fill at once. Leave earlier than seems necessary, bearing in mind that Sharjah Airport asks for three hours before departure, and add your flight number to the booking so you are warned if the pickup leaves too little time.
