Minutes from arrivals

From Terminal A the chauffeur joins the motorway towards Yas and is on the island almost at once. Most hotels are ten to fifteen minutes from the airport, and even on a busy evening the drive rarely passes twenty. No toll bridge lies between the airport and Yas.

Parks, the circuit and the hotels

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld sit together near Yas Mall, and SeaWorld Yas Island is a short drive away. Yas Marina Circuit and Etihad Arena host the island's biggest events. Hotels such as W Abu Dhabi Yas Island, which straddles the circuit, and the Yas Plaza hotels each have their own entrance; choose yours by name in the address search.

Race weekend and big concerts

During the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend in early December, and on big concert nights at Etihad Arena, some roads on Yas close or carry event traffic. If you land on such a day, book early and allow extra time: the chauffeur uses the nearest open drop-off to your hotel.

A few days on Yas

Yas is built for staying a while: the theme parks, Yas Mall, Yas Beach and the Yas Links golf course are all on the island, and the hotels around the circuit are a few minutes apart. You can easily base yourself here and make a single trip into the city or to Saadiyat. For that day out, an hourly chauffeur keeps one car with you, and the airport is always close for the flight home.

How long does the transfer take from AUH to Yas Island?
About 10 kilometres, usually 10 to 20 minutes depending on traffic and the time you land.
How far is Yas Island from the airport?
Only a few kilometres. The drive is usually ten to twenty minutes.
Can I go from the airport straight to Ferrari World with luggage?
You can be dropped at the park, but with luggage it is easier to go to your hotel first and visit afterwards.
Is there a Darb toll between AUH and Yas?
No. The Darb gates are on the bridges onto Abu Dhabi island, not on the way to Yas.
Is Yas Island part of Abu Dhabi city?
It is an island in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, next to the airport and about twenty-five to thirty minutes from the Corniche by car.
Can I go from Yas to Dubai later in my trip?
Yes. Yas is on the Dubai side of Abu Dhabi, so Dubai Marina is usually just over an hour away. Book it as an intercity ride from your hotel.
